On behalf of our entire team, we want to let you know that you have just made a handful of new friends, and we very much look forward to getting to know you better.

You are also joining an epic group of women by becoming one of our Malas for Tatas recipients. You can read more about our current and past recipients here.

Additionally, we’d love for you to acquaint yourself with our talented team of Preferred Providers.

Someone from our team will contact you soon to offer a warm chat, answer any questions you might have, and review a few of the details below.

As we have grown, we are now blessed to offer a few grants per year (usually between 6-8), so we've had to get a bit more organized in our welcome process. I mean, we could chat with you all day... however, having these details laid out upfront makes it so our chat can be more fun and less formal. Thank you for taking the time to complete the questions below and review the information provided.

The last thing we want to do is add more tasks to your busy schedule, so please understand this necessity and try to find a few minutes that you can relax with a cup of tea while you share your answers.

Malas for Tatas Recipient guidelines

Please review each of the recipient guidelines below and put a check next to every item after you have reviewed it to confirm your understanding.

1. The Recipient MUST live or work in the Denver Metro Area

2. Each recipient is entitled to 6 months of fund raising.

3. The amount donated depends on how much we raise over that 6-month period or $2000, whichever is met first.

4. MFT will agree to hosting 1 fund raising events over the 6-month period.

5. The recipient agrees to spread the word of their cause.

6. The recipient agrees to invite people in their circle to attend any related events that are associated to their cause.

7. The recipient agrees to host 1 fund-raising event or have a relative host an event in their name during that 6 month period.

8. The recipient has an interest in using alternative therapies such as massage, acupuncture, nutrition, energy work, or any other therapeutic needs (not covered by traditional health insurance) to maintain/achieve wellness/self-care during the breast cancer treatment process.

9. The recipient also agrees to use MFT preferred providers unless they already have care in place, and to provide a testimonial.

Do you know about our Malas for Tatas Beading Brunches? Do you think you would like to host a beading brunch sometime?

About our Beading Brunches: Gather with friends to create prayer malas at a beading brunch. You and your guests can enjoy snacks, drinks, and each other’s company as you create a beautifully unique mala to be sold at future fundraising events. We provide all the supplies. Guests just have to choose their mala kit, set their intention, and get beading! Once the mala is strung, you’ll give your mala a name, then send it off with love to be hand-knotted and finished with the guru bead and tassel. Your creation will be featured on the Malas for Tatas webpage, social media, and/or at a future fundraising event. Hosts provide the location, snacks, drinks, and guest list! Attendance is capped at 20 invitations max for a quality experience *This is a volunteer opportunity, it's FREE for all guest to make a mala, guests can simply donate their creation back to the organization or they can purchase their mala to fundraise for Malas for Tatas.

Our community loves to hear about our recipients and welcome them into their hearts. We share a provided photo and short write-up about each of our recipients. The write-up is based on your answers to the questions above as well as our follow-up conversation. We send you a draft of that write-up first, so you can offer any changes and approval before we share it. Are you comfortable with this process? We are honored to offer a professional photo shoot with our friend Gabriel Christus (Denver Broncos team photographer) to each one of our recipients and their family!
